Race Equality Scheme 2002 - 2005 Race Equality Scheme 2002 - 2005
Lothian and Border's Fire Board’s first Race Equality Scheme. The Scheme outlines the Board’s strategic plan for meeting both the general and specific duties of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 to eliminate unlawful racial discrimination and to promote equality of opportunity and good relations between people of different races.

At The Lothian and Borders Fire Board on 24th June 2005, The Board agreed to carry the proposals contained in Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service's document; Making Safer Communities - Addressing the Risk - Service Improvement Plan 2005/2010, forward to the next stage, a three month consultation period which ends on 31 October 2005. We welcome your opinions on the proposals outlined in this document.
